Chris' 29th Birthday!

I can't believe Chris turned 29, one more year and he's going to be ancient....LOL
Birthday cards.
Can you feel the excitement? Finally I got Chris a present that he didn't know he was getting. He is usually really sneaky and finds out everything he's getting, but this year we went to Atlanta to watch the Braves and the Redsox play back in June and that was supposped to be our presents for our birthdays this year, so he didn't think he was getting anything. He's been begging for this for a few months now ever since he took up his new golfing hobby. This game, getting to play 2 rounds of free golf this week and shooting a 90 last week with Dad made his birthday week!
Happy Birthday honey, we love you!

Ashley's 4th Birthday

Here she is!!Ashley had a very specific list of what she wanted for his birthday, a tent, a flashlight, and a purse with her name on it that has "girl" stuff in it. Here she is in her tent, she's got her Ashley purse beside her and she is wearing pretty much every piece of girl stuff she got, headbands, bows, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and lip gloss!
We went to Chuck E. Cheese for Ashley's birthday, here's Jakey man in the car with Chuck E. himself, which Jake lovingly refers to as chubby cheese ;)
Whack that mole!
Ashley loved the horse. She had tons of fun and she was good luck, she hit the jackpot on one game and won 100 tokens! She started jumping up and down yelling Mommy they just keep coming out!!
All dressed up and ready to play!
Opening the tent!
Girl stuff!!!
Ashley bag, courtesy of Nana, thx Mom!
The Cinderella cake, I'm not quite sure who was more excited for Ashley's birthday, Adam or the birthday girl herself?
She was not too happy that I made her wait until after school to open her presents, we did let her open one, she got some new earrings that she got to wear to school. Ashley is doing great at school, she loves every minute of it and she is already learning to write her name. Such a big girl!

Adam's Karate Test

Adam with his karate class after his test for his brown belt! Adam won best test!
Getting his new belt.
Doing his form, he did great! He only needed to do four moves but he did all 20 moves without any help and got moved up to the big kids class!

Family Visit

Nana, Ash, and Adam
Adam, Papa, and Ash
We went to build-a-bear for part of Ashley's birthday present from Nana and Papa, here is Adam with his newest creation.
Here's Ash and her very pink princess unicorn.
Rub a dub dub Jakey's elephant is in the tub. This is the one happy picture of Jake, he lost it when he realized the clothes and shoes that he picked out were for the elephant and not for him. It was quite amusing to see him freak out because he thought he could squeeze into that tiny Nascar suit and converse high tops. :)
Ashley filling up her unicorn with fluff.
Aunt Camie with the kiddos. I did a horrible job of taking pictures this is one of the only pictures I have of Camie and I don't have any of her husband Preston.
Snuggling up before church.
The boys. Jake was hilarious and for some reason decided it was too hard to say Uncle Jay, so he went with Uncle Joe instead. Hey Uncle Joe!! We miss you!
Nana and the kids ready for church.
Big squeeze!
Me and "Joe"

We had a fun family visit. This is the first time we have all been together in years!! It was a good time. I don't have any pictures of Josh and Sterling either, but we stayed at our house for a few days and then we went over to Georgia to see Josh at his house and then we went on to Tennessee, the boys went to the races while we visited Grandma and Grandpa. Chris golfed a lot this week....he and Dad played twice while they were here, Chris snuck off for a early bird special one morning in Georgia and of course he had to golf in Tennessee on the golf course Grandma and Grandpa live on. I finally got to see wedding pictures from Camie's wedding they had a great photographer and got tons of pics. We played some Phase 10 and some rockband. It was lots of fun. The week flew by, like it always does. We took some family pictures which should be arriving next week! Looking forward to King's Island next summer!

Back to School and First Day!

They were so cute this morning! They had homemade pancakes for breakfast at their request. And they both flew out of bed and were in the shower before I knew it.
I heard Adam last night telling Ashley some tips for school. He said "Ash, it's really easy, you just color and play, but you have to stay in the lines when you color, the teachers tell you good job when you do." Ashley said, "oh, ok Adam, I will!"It was adorable!
Our BIG first grader! Adam has not been looking forward to going back to school, he has been pretty whiny the last few weeks. Yesterday we got to go see his classroom and meet his teacher and that got him excited. Last night he actually had trouble falling asleep because he was excited for school. After I told him that his first class everyday is PE he was game! And when we left after meeting his teacher, he told me, "Mom, her room was pretty cool, and she's pretty nice. First grade might be kinda fun"
Whew, it's way too early in the game to be sick of school!
First day of preschool! She has been talking about this for months! She has been telling everyone she sees, Ashley is big girl, she's going to school! It's finally here. I was a little worried after meeting the teachers this week. Ashley wouldn't say a word to either of her teachers and cried when I said we'd come back on Wednesday. But this morning she didn't even bat an eyelash when I said I was leaving. She was across the room and she yelled out "Bye, Mom!" and went right back to playing.
Showing off their backpacks!
Jakey likes back to school too! Ahh, the whole house all to himself!!! :)
He was really sad that he didn't get to stay at Ashley's school. He was trying to jump out of my arms to get to the playground and when we got home he picked up the extra lunchbox and went to the stairs and said Bye, Mommy, I go to school!! It was so cute.
He's adjusted quite nicely, I think he's enjoying being able to have the tv and all the toys to himself.

Mini Pizza Night

I remember making these with my Mom when I was a kid. The kids love it when they get to help cook. They all actually did a really good job, there were no fights and no whining!

Mommy and Ash with our curlers. Not related to the mini pizza making, just thought it was a cute pic of us girls.

$6 Braves Tickets

We took the kids to see the Braves play. We got tickets for $6 and the kids were supposed to go and parade around the field before the game, but not a one of them would do it, lol. Adam did get to throw a ball and see how fast he can throw. He threw 26 mph. Look out Big Poppie!! :) Jakey loved this Chick-Fil-A cow, for the entire first 4 innings he just pointed and said LOOK, COW!!! And, I want chicken and fries! (we eat Chick-Fil-A entirely too often) They all had tons of fun doing the chop and screaming CHARGE! They didn't really care for the ball game they just wanted to do the little cheers.
